What is a 'real' word?
Is it one that is in a dictionary? Does it exist in the rhelm of words, where ever that is? I suspect that the last two sugestions lack something. What is a real word then? Well, maybe there is no such thing as a real word. There are official words. But officiality doesn't constitute reality. At the expense of sounding very relativistic, really any combination of letters can be a word. People can make up their own language and we can't say they aren't words. They just don't make any sense to other people; there is no common understanding about the words. Made-up words aren't expedient or practical in most circumstances. 11:41 AM 8 satisfied customers!! I would have to say that caffine is my favorite drug. Not because I enjoy the stimulating high all that much. In fact, it is mostly crummy --a dirty sort of hype, kind of like a crank in the legal stimulant world. I much prefer the clean taurine high of a Red Bull. No, my preference for caffine has little to do with the high. It has to do with the wonderful tastes of of caffinated foods: coffee, cola and chocolate -- the dark trinity. Red Bull doesn't go well with ham and eggs. If it did, I think I would much prefer it.

The Declaration of Independence is a joke.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident . . . That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." If these truths were so self-evident, why didn't England see it? Why was democracy a new thing (the Greeks, OK one anchient exception)? Why was Israel a monarchy and not a democracy? Why is Jesus a King and not an elected representative? Why do the Iraqis need Democracy shoved down their throats? Is it because these things are not self-evident or the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God"? Is it because these things are creations of men rather than "Laws of Nature"? Bingo! That is exactly right. The D of I discredits itself by claiming universality for a political philosophy developed out of Enlightenment Rationalism. And as a Bible-thumping Christian, I personally take offense that the D of I attributes Democracy to God. As if there is something righteous about a representative republic. This more than offends. This is flat out blasphemy to claim that "Nature's God" endorses the theft of English property by the Colonists because "it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish [the English Rule], and to institute new Government" when "any Form of Government becomes destructive" to the "unalienable Rights" of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." If this is the self-evident law of Nature's God, why didn't Jesus, Paul and the Apostles pick up the sword and take on the oppressive Roaman government? I noticed today, that at the corner of Normandie and Florance in South Central LA there is an newish AutoZone. This seems kind of werid in light of that guy who was pulled out of his truck and beaten with a cinderblock and a hammer during the L.A. Rodney King riots.

We've got a blog here on channel 36. I like the blog. I like the way the boots are all reverbed out walking accross the hard wood floors. In fact everything has the big reverb sound.

Well, it is silly if you are a quasi-socialist multi-cultural type, beacuse jobs moving overseas is helping out those in countries with lots of people and little work. And, it is silly if you are a capitialist because this is the basic Adam Smith "Wealth of Nations" comparative and absolute advantages stuff at work. So what I want to know is who is complaining about manufacturing jobs moving over seas? My hunch is the turncoats. For the Democrats, it is the bad Keynesian capitalists in faux socialist clothing who are trying to get votes from people who have no ideologial roots. For the Republicans, it the neo-conservative socialists in faux capitialist clothing who are trying to get votes from people who have no ideological roots. My house had to endure my presense all day today. I think I was a little too much for the old guy. But you know what, he is so grumpy.
