That's right, it is as you suspected --muscle car rallys are a great place for single guys to meet other single guys. It is a great way to impress poorly shaven, stylistically neglected dudes with questionable hygene habits.

And yes, I know, I once had a musscle car.

Increased productivity --in case you are wondering what to make of economic reports about increased productivity, it means that employees are being screwed by corporations.

I snoozed and I lost! The tickets for Medeski, Martin and Wood were $20. I kept forgeting to get my tickets. Now they are $30! Dang!

Let's just hope it is a better show this time.

Brace yourself! The following may cause you to lose respect for the author. He writes this knowing that it will make him sound like a nut case.

After reading The Sorrows of Empire I wanted to read some of the referenced material written by the PNAC. In case you don't know about the PNAC, take a look at their site. It is the heart of the neocon movement, founded in 1997 by Dan Quayle, Dick Chaney, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, among others. Now here is where I start to sound kooky: these guys are FREAKIN' SCARY! Just read their own words --if it doesn't scare you, well, than you scare me. Particularly, read Rebuilding America's Defences. I haven't read the whole thing yet. But just getting started on it makes me think the present administration is a nut house. I don't want to say what I really think because it will just discredit me. But basically, these guys are mad with dreams of world domination.

Read on my friends. It is better than fiction.

In our day and age, most would admit that any two people can fall in love, even if they are not equals. But the romance will go nowhere without some sort of initial attraction. For example: a guy may never know a girl's great personality because she isn't attractive enough to make him interested to find out.

Yes it is shallow. And that is OK. Because where guys have their shallow side, girls have theirs. For guys, looks are usually needed for an initial attraction. For girls, it is money.

Of course there are exceptions. And of course, everybody finds themselves as one of these exceptions. Nevertheless, it is true that as a whole, guys and girls are both shallow, just in different ways.

For some reason, people often find merit is one's ability to maintain a sort of constancy in worldview. In other words, someone who changes their minds is some how inferior or sub-standard.

Why?

Personally, the ability to alter one's view as new evidence arises or is understood is seems preferable instead of staunchly holding on to one's previous view.

The devil's most seductive and sucessful plan of corrupting the Church: his campaign to create in the Church a desire to make this world, this old creation a better place.

Fortunately, Jesus, that great defeater of the devil, will come again to roll up like a scroll this world, this old creation, and to burn its elements with fire.

"So long and good ridence" will be the unanimous shout of the redeemed as they forget about this curesed place and begin our grand eternal lives in a new creation, a new world.

Makes me drool with anticipation.
