you see, one of the main differences between high school and college life is that in high school they segregate the students from the teachers, i mean in terms of bathroom usage.

here on the sixth floor of some building on the campus of an unnamed university in la jolla, california certain math professors can be seen frequently using the urinals (not that im necessarily looking, of course). what i mean is that its just a little tough using the urinal trying to concentrate on my own business knowing that the man standing next to me is one of the professors. now im not some kind of freak or anything and i havent always had this uneasy feeling. but these sentiments have been with me for some time now. in fact theyve been with me ever since my days uc irvine when a certain professor senya shlosman, who shall remain nameless (nyuk nyuk), peeped at me in an adjacent urinal...twice.

it just aint right, i tell you.

very nearly all of the contents of our apartment are ruined due to an uncontrollable mold infestation. despite the inconvenience of it all, we now have NO furniture to take to our new apartment. very frustrating indeed.

ugh, dont you hate the feeling of falling asleep in the afternoon when its light out and waking up two weeks later? i feel so disoriented.

id like to send a shout out to Christina Applegate (married with childrens kelly) for her success in shedding her typecast image as televisions dumb blonde with this quote on one of those E! shows:

interviewer: "so, how do you feel to turn 30?"
kelly applegate: "well someone said that 40 is the new 30, so im really only 20 and i feel great!"
