Snatch

This film was awesome! A wonderful follow-up to director Guy Ritchies previous smash of a couple years ago Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

Rating:

After seeing The Pledge I really needed to see a good film featuring Benicio Del Toro (his role in this feature was hardly larger than his role in The Pledge). I won't bother telling you what Snatch is about other than to say, gangsters, guns and a diamond. But definitely check it out, if you haven't already. The writing is clever, the acting is good, the story is engaging, the direction is masterful. Oh, and thank God for subtitles on DVD!

You've never heard of most of the actors in this picture, but everyone acts well. By the way, it's really odd to see a gangster flick where the black gangsters have (somewhat effeminate) bristish accents. Talk about a trip. Whether you love or hate Brad Pitt, you'll appreciate his performance in this film.
