Spaceballs

Typical Mel Brooks humor. If you like Mel Brooks, you'll like this film. Me, I don't like Mel Brooks humor. And no, I haven't seen Robin Hood: Men in Tights and no, you shouldn't expect that if I saw that I would become a convert. I'd probably think it were stupid too.

Rating:

I was coerced into watching this atrocity again by a group of persistent and proactive summer school students. When I was twelve I remember enjoying this film, but who's gonna blame a twelve-year-old for bad taste and poor judgment?

Bill Pullman was his usual annoying self and there's a reason that you haven't seen Daphne Zuniga since this film came out. If she stuck to the John Hughes/John Cusack film genre, she'd probably be much better off.

If you want a good spoof of star wars, then find a reel to reel film called Hardware Wars. As for Spaceballs, I feel like my comedic sensibilities have been violated.
