untitled

Upborne by stars,
I rise swiftly into outer space.

These stars,
They save me,
Granting me escape from the world below,
Where so many words
Like poison-tipped arrows
Afflict me from without
Wounding my sensitivities,
Piercing my soul.

Left to my own defenses
I would surely perish.
For I am powerless
To stand against the foes
Waging war against my humanity.

Distraught
Destitute
Desperate

I find solace in the stars.
